Debi Scholar, President of Scholar Consulting Group, is a consultant, speaker, educator, and author.

She authored SMM: The Quick Reference Guide and coauthored The SMM Handbook..  Recently she co-presented the benefits of Strategic Meetings Management to key members of a meetings task force at the U.S. Treasury in Washington D.C. Debi has created the industry's first SMM Maturity Model© and delivers free webinars twice a month on SMM. Her must-read blog, T&E Plus, has been viewed over 35,000 times and her T&E Plus LinkedIn Group has over 2,300 members.  Before starting her own consultancy, Debi managed the PricewaterhouseCooper's SMM Program for over 2,000 meetings and was the first Meeting Director to have included Virtual Meetings under her direction back in 2002.  She was co-chair of the GBTA Groups & Meetings Committee, a GBTA Foundation Board member, assisted in creating the Strategic Meetings Management Certificate program, an MCAF member, one of the top 20 Changemakers in the Industry, and one of the VIPs in the Strategic Meetings Management Industry.
